Wilson, who is the beginning of a contractual six months of gardening leave, had not determined his next move, other than to “get some more kilometres on this set of tyres”.

The 8IP Asia-Pacific Partners Fund gained 16.73 per cent in the year to February, while the benchmark MSCI All Country Asia-Pacific index returned 4.87 per cent.
