Order of Australia awarded to Walsh, Dwyer

Through the “Stronger Together” program, New South Wales had begun to adopt the needs-based funding model that Walsh had worked on more than five years ago – and which had now been re-negotiated to continue for the next five years.

Dwyer said: “The award is a terrific opportunity to promote superannuation, and especially our members such as nurses, police, firemen for whom it’s not a job, but rather a vocation. Good can come out of this – not just accolades for me, and it’s also a chance to promote the UNHCR – the plight of refugees, particularly women and children.”
