While Macquarie was the top infrastructure manager, Industry Funds Management was ranked second with more than $10.161 billion.
Platinum Asset Management was the only Australian hedge fund ranked in the top 50 hedge funds by total assets under management. Kerr Neilson’s fund was ranked the thirty-fourth biggest hedge fund manager, with assets under management of more than $12.79 billion.
Seven Australian real estate managers were included in Towers Watson’s Top 50 real estate managers. The best performing was Goodman at number 25, with $19.1 billion under management. It was followed by AMP Capital Investors at 29, Dexus Property Group at 30, Charter Hall at 37, Lend Lease at 40, QIC at 45 and Macquarie Group at number 48.
