SS&C platform for SIML

Global investment and financial software provider SS&C Technologies has had its Global Wealth platform selected by Specialist Investment Management (SIML) to support its Australian wealth management business.

The platform is a real-time, cloud-based investment system, designed to streamline the management of multiple-client portfolios across markets, currencies and financial instruments.

SIML is a private investment manager servicing wholesale clients and self-managed super funds.

The platform will be used across its range of individually managed accounts, with the private investment manager providing services around high-yielding fixed-income investments, Australian equities and their derivatives, and most overseas listed investments.

The platform features client and advisor portals for online access to investment information.

SIML founder and chief executive officer, Peter Kennedy, says the platform offers coverage across a number of asset-types and investment instruments, while the cloud-based model provides rapid time to market without significant upfront capital costs.

Headquartered in Windsor, Connecticut, SS&C Technologies services more than 5500 financial service organisations.

SS&C Technologies’ Australian managing director Phil Banas says its platform has been specifically designed to manage multiple instruments and markets.

“Our global reach gives us a unique insight into wealth management firms’ evolving requirements and our longstanding presence in Australia ensures full compliance with local tax and regulatory requirements,” he says.
