BNP beefs up insto, Citi adds to equities

BNP Paribas Investment Partners (BNPP IP) has announced the appointment of John Jardim to the role of senior business development manager.

Jardim will be based in BNPP IP’s Melbourne office, focusing on relationships with superannuation funds, as well as government and financial institutions.

His appointment follows the recent hires of Angus Carson as head of superannuation and government institutions and Stephen Copeland as manager of client services.

This appointment brings the business development team’s total headcount to five, with the team covering BNPP IP’s full range of investment solutions.

Citigroup has hired former Credit Suisse analyst, Anthony Moulder, for its equities research team, following the departure of head of transport research, Shavarsh Bedrossian, a year ago.

Moulder had been at Credit Suisse for a decade, covering stocks including Qantas Airways, Toll Holdings, Asciano, Qube Logistics Holdings, Virgin Australia and Brambles.

Citi is expected to hire an associate for Moulder as it builds out its research capabilities in transport and infrastructure.
