BNP Paribas Securities Services (BNP Paribas) today announced the appointment of Katharine Seymour as the new head of relationship management for its Australian ‘asset owner’ clients.
Seymour assumes responsibility for the team managing relationships and service delivery for BNP Paribas’ clients in this core client group that includes superannuation funds, government entities and insurance companies.
Ken Shaw, head of sales and relationship management, to whom Seymour will report said: “I am very pleased to have Katharine on board. She brings a successful track record in institutional-relationship management and a wealth of knowledge of the superannuation sector.”
Seymour has almost two decades’ experience in the fund management and superannuation industries. Most recently she ran the institutional relationship management team for Blackrock Investment Management (formerly Barclays Global Investors), prior to which she held senior client-relationship positions with Schroder Investment Management in both Sydney and London.

Peta to Threadneedle

Threadneedle Investments has announced the appointment of senior fund manager John Peta, to lead the firm’s emerging-market debt team, along with Henry Stipp.
Peta joins Threadneedle from Boston-based Acadian Asset Management, where he was head of emerging market debt, having joined the firm in 2007. He brings over 20 years’ experience in fixed income and sovereign analysis, as well as extensive expertise in emerging-market local-currency debt covering over 30 countries, including frontier markets.
