Alice Prudhoe announced winner of Michael O’Sullivan ESG Rising Star Award

CareSuper and ACSI were delighted to announce Alice Prudhoe, sustainability officer at Local Government Super as the winner of the inaugural Michael O’Sullivan ESG Rising Star Award in front of over 230 delegates during the ACSI 2015 Annual Conference held in Sydney on Tuesday.

Michael O’Sullivan was ACSI’s founding president from 2001 until 2011 and chair of CareSuper for three separate two year terms as well as deputy chair in the intervening years until his passing in 2012.

The Michael O’Sullivan ESG Rising Star Award has been established to commemorate Michael’s legacy to the superannuation sector and in particular to the incorporation of ESG principles in the risk management of long term investing.

The Award aims to advance the ESG agenda through development of the next generation of ESG advocates and professionals within the profit to members superannuation sector and the winner of this Award must have demonstrated a commitment to the advancement of the consideration of environmental, social and corporate governance issues in managing retirement savings.
