Kinetic Super app for ‘more regular engagement’

Kinetic Super has launched a new mobile app designed to keep members on top of their super and make it a part of their normal routine.

The app will offer members full access to their retirement savings account with the ability to view their account balance, update contact details and even change investment options.

Commenting on the introduction of the mobile app, Kinetic Super chief executive Andrew Barnett said the fund was always looking for new and innovative ways to engage with its members and keep them connected to their super.

“The new mobile app encourages our members to engage with their super on a more regular basis. By giving them the opportunity to interact with the fund on their terms, we aim to give members more control of their savings, putting them in a better position to prepare for a comfortable retirement,” Barnett said.

“We understand that Australians today want to access everything in the palm of their hand. This now includes their superannuation account. Introducing a mobile app is the first of many innovative plans we have in our long-term digital strategy to engage with our members and make super more relevant and important to their financial futures.”

Other key features of the mobile app include:

  • A detailed view of how super is invested, with the ability to change investment strategy
  • Nominate to take super when changing jobs
  • Ability to check and change insurance cover
  • Option to combine multiple super accounts
  • View or change account beneficiaries

With 85 per cent of its assets sitting in the default option, BUSSQ now has a year to turn things around or face consequences that go well beyond a stern letter to members.
