The annual Conexus Financial Super Awards recognise excellence in the superannuation industry, and are noted for their rigour and independence.
But the judging committee, co-chaired by Conexus Financial director of institutional content Amanda White and director of retail content Simon Hoyle, can only consider those funds that complete and return the nomination form. So get your entry in today.
Every super fund with a registered MySuper product is invited to enter at no cost.
There are 12 categories in total, including: superannuation fund of the year, pension fund of the year, and chief investment officer of the year. Three new awards have been added in 2017 to recognise the best insurance offering, best advice offering, and best technology and innovation offering.
Actuarial and consulting firm Rice Warner will oversee the judging process, independent of any financial arrangement with Conexus Financial, drawing on their comprehensive superannuation product database to cross-reference the information provided by funds on their nomination forms.
Rice Warner chief executive Michael Rice and actuarial consultant Nathan Bonarius will participate in the judging committee. New Zealand Super Fund chief executive Adrian Orr has joined the judging committee this year to bring an international perspective.
Joining them will be former minister for superannuation and financial services Bernie Ripoll, Choice chief executive Alan Kirkland, Financial Services Council chief executive Sally Loane, and Fund Executives Association Ltd chief executive Joanna Davison.
Australian Prudential and Regulation Authority deputy chair Helen Rowell will act as a special advisor to the judges.
