Mercer Investment Consulting’s former director of consulting for the Asia-Pacific, Garrie Lette, has been transferred to a global role with Mercer in London.
Lette, a 15-year veteran at Mercer, left Melbourne for the London post late last year. His Asia-Pacific responsibilities have been assumed by Tony Arnold, an institutional consultant who prior to joining Mercer in 2005 was head of global fixed interest (external managers) at Queensland Investment Corporation. In a statement, Mercer IC said Lette would “;lead efforts to coordinate our global strategic research, in areas such as asset class research, asset allocation and portfolio construction. His relocation to London will allow more efficient interaction with Mercer’s Northern Hemisphere-based investment professionals.”; Arnold will be based in Melbourne in his new role as Director of Consulting Asia Pacific. The regional directors of consulting are tasked with developing Mercer IC policy on strategic investment issues, and providing guidance to the manager researchers on priority areas for new research.
