Daphne van der Oord finds her Man

Daphne van der Oord, an experienced institutional business development manager at ING Investment Management, has left the firm.

Van der Oord is understood to be joining global hedge fund manager Man Investments in a wholesale marketing role, reporting to head of institutional sales Urs Alder. Prior to her stint at ING, van der Oord was a business development manager at another Dutch-owned global firm, ABN Amro Asset Management. Man Investments is one of the largest commodities, futures and hedge fund managers in the world, with an established Australian presence. Most of the firm’s success in Australia to date, however, has been in the retail sector. ING Investment Management recently appointed Martin Donnelly to the new positions of head of sales and deputy chief executive. He was formerly a business manager at BGI.

Suspensions and redemption queues ‘speed bumps’ on private credit road: Blue Owl

Asset owners are right to be concerned about private credit fund suspensions and redemption queues, Blue Owl head of alternative credit Ivan Zinn told the Investment Magazine Fiduciary Investors Symposium, but he thinks that two years from now they’ll be looked back on as nothing more than a “speed bump” on a highway of growth and strong returns.
