There was a wide disparity in the pension funds’ allocations to unlisted assets, with the highest being AustralianSuper (32 per cent), Legalsuper (31 per cent) and Maritime Super (30 per cent) and the lowest being AXA Summit and CFS First Choice (both zero) and First State Super (2 per cent).

The $80 billion Mercer Super has delivered a fourth consecutive year of double-digit returns to most members of its SmartPath lifecycle product.
