A specialist Australian equities mid-cap boutique has won a mandate with JANA Implemented Consulting.
Concise Asset Management – which was formed in 2007 by Andrew King, formerly of Investors Mutual and Paradice Investment Management, David Grace (ex-Centro Properties) and David Parr (ex-UBS Global Asset Management) with backing by private equity firm CVC Limited – has won what it describes as a “large mandate” from JANA Implemented Consulting.
Concise specialises in mid-caps, the universe of 150 companies from the 51st to the 200th largest capitalised on the ASX 200. Parr said Concise had enjoyed a lift from strong mid-cap performance over the past six months while the broader market has been relatively flat.
JANA consultant Anna Shelley was instrumental in the awarding of the mid cap mandate, however she was travelling and unavailable for comment yesterday.
