BNP Paribas Securities Services (BNP PSS) is searching for a new co-head of operations, after Darren Booth resigned after six months in the role.
Booth previously ran operations and IT at Melbourne-based IOOF Investment Management. He joined Sydney-based BNP PSS on April 16, but had not relocated his family by the time he resigned last month. Greg Nichols has been appointed acting co-head of operations in the interim. “;Greg has a strong background in managing operations, having previously been head of operations for the Cogent business,”; said BNP PSS Asia-Pacific managing director, Jean-Marc Pasquet. He added that Nichols would retain his responsibilities as head of operational risk while local and global candidates were considered for Booth’s replacement. The other co-head of operation remains Sue Jorgensen, who oversees business change programs within BNP PSS.
The total portfolio approach has already been implemented by some of the biggest asset owners around the world. But with the advent of a more volatile market and macro backdrop more funds might start putting it to work.
