Meagher steps into Winterton’s old role at AMP Capital

AMP Capital Investors has appointed John Meagher as acting head of institutional distribution while it continues to search for a permanent replacement for Dean Winterton.

Winterton vacated the role of head of institutional distribution in March after being appointed managing director, South East Asia and Middle East at AMP Capital, based in

Singapore.

A spokesperson confirmed Meagher, who joined AMP Capital from Fidelity in 2007, has taken on the role in an “acting capacity” while the search continues both internally and externally for Winterton’s replacement.

Meagher joined AMP Capital in July 2007 as Sydney-based senior institutional business executive, looking after clients along the eastern seaboard.

He reports to head of distribution Brian Delaney, who is responsible for all aspects of the sales, strategic marketing and service of AMP Capital Investors’ institutional, retail and high net worth clients in the Australian market.
