Towers Watson hires three analysts, seeks researcher

Towers Watson has hired three investment analysts for its Sydney office. The asset consultant is also searching for a researcher who will focus on Australian equity fund managers.

The new analysts have not replaced any former staff members, says Graeme Miller, director of investment services for Towers Watson in Australia. They were hired as the company continues to grow and follow four hires made in February.

Jordan Taylor has joined the consultant’s five-person strategy research team from Finzsoft, a provider of technology to financial institutions.

Deepti Tammareddi and Andrew Tay, formerly an assurance associate with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Hong Kong, have become part of Towers Watsons’ central analytics team.

Tammareddi and Tay will support the research and consulting teams by quantitatively analysing the performance of markets and fund managers.

Hugh Dougherty, head of funds manager research for Towers Watson in Australia, is searching for a researcher of domestic equity funds managers to replace Anna Weickart, who is joining the company’s Frankfurt office.

“Being able to transfer people globally does help us [to] be well-connected into the global network of ideas and opportunities,” says Miller.
